Safeguarding Policy

Devizes Adventist Church is committed to the safeguarding and protection of children and adults at risk. This is placeholder text for each church to replace with its own approved policy.

Our commitment

We believe that every person, especially children and adults at risk, deserves to be safe, respected and cared for. Safeguarding is the responsibility of the whole church family.

Safeguarding Lead

Our Safeguarding Lead is [Name], who can be contacted on [020 7946 0123] or [safeguarding@hopevalleychurch.org.uk]. Concerns can also be raised with the pastor or any elder.

Safer recruitment

All those working with children or adults at risk are safely recruited, including references and a Disclosure and Barring Service check where appropriate, and receive safeguarding training.

Reporting a concern

If you have a concern about the safety of a child or adult at risk, please contact the Safeguarding Lead without delay. In an emergency, contact the police or local social services.
