What to expect on your first Sabbath
We want your first visit to be easy and welcoming. Here is what you will find.
What to expect
A warm welcome at the door, a time of singing and prayer, a thoughtful message from the Bible and a chance to meet people over refreshments afterwards. You will not be singled out or put on the spot.
What to wear
Whatever feels comfortable for you. Most people dress smart casual, but you are welcome exactly as you are. There is no dress code for belonging.
Children's provision
Children are a joy, not a distraction. Sabbath School classes run by age during the Sabbath School hour, and children are welcome in the main service too. A staffed crèche is available.
Parking
There is parking at the Cornerstone Community Centre, including accessible bays near the entrance. Additional street parking is available nearby on Sabbath mornings.
Step free access
Step free access throughout the building, a wheelchair accessible toilet and a lift to the upper hall. Reserved seating near the front for those who need it.
Hearing loop
A hearing loop is installed in the main sanctuary. Switch your hearing aid to the T position to use it.
Baby changing
Baby changing facilities are available in both the men's and women's accessible toilets, with a quiet feeding space if you need one.
Refreshments
Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the service. It is a lovely, relaxed time to chat and make friends. Everyone is welcome.
